Dodgers First Baseman Adrian Gonzalez Coming to East L.A. ‘Winter Wonderland’ Celebration Tomorrow at Noon!
Don’t forget that at Noon tomorrow, you can join the East L.A. community and Adrian Gonzalez – our generous and beloved Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman – for a ‘Winter Wonderland’ with real snow and ice skating in sunny Southern California! Just take the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension to the East L.A. Civic Center, located at 4801 E. Third St., and head toward the dazzling colors of our newly lit, 22-foot community Christmas tree! There will be fun for the entire family, including an ice skating rink (with free skate rentals!), music performances, train rides, face painting, a magic show, tasty antojitos from our very own East L.A. restaurants, and a boutique with art from our local artists for all you last-minute holiday shoppers!
The ice skating rink is open tonight until 9 p.m., tomorrow from 11 to 9 p.m. and will remain open on Sun., Dec. 15 from 9 a. m. to 9 p.m. Don’t miss what will be a truly memorable holiday experience — and one we hope to make a long-standing East L.A. tradition. I am truly proud of our East L.A. Civic Center and the cultural programming we have built together, showcasing our community’s unique traditions and folklore. Anyone with questions about this winter extravaganza may call the L.A. County Dept. of Parks and Recreation at (323) 260-2360.
